Attention Baltimore: It is National Poison Prevention Week! President John F. Kennedy declared the third week in March as Poison Prevention Week in 1962, in order to raise awareness about the extreme and sometimes fatal dangers of poisonings. Poisoning is the number one cause of injury-related death in the United States. One of many critical aspects to poison prevention is the safe disposal of medications and substances.
