We’re here to help shed the light on why these meal programs are so important.
Protecting Victims & Society
Those suffering from the struggles of hunger know all too well how difficult it can be. It can be especially problematic for the youth of Baltimore–those struggling to attend school while not having proper nutrition. Hunger can drain its victims of productive energy, rendering them unable to contribute to society in meaningful ways. It’s important to make sure the soup kitchens in Baltimore City are able to feed those in need.
How Can You Help Soup Kitchens in Baltimore City?
If you’re interested in doing more for the soup kitchens in Baltimore City, there are a few things you can do. First, share with your friends, family, and your networks about the importance of soup kitchens and how they can help! My Brother’s Keeper (MBK) serves 6 meals per week from September through May, and then 5 meals per week from June to August. At around 70 plates per meal, that’s over 18,000 individual meals a year.
MBK welcomes volunteers. They are important for this day to day operation. MBK is always in need of food donations. Holding your own food drive can be a great way to secure the foodstuffs necessary to create all of the wondrous healthy meals served to those in need. Reach out to My Brother’s Keeper–or any of the soup kitchens in Baltimore City–to see how you can help!
