 Bill Franey has spent his life answering both the demands of the insurance industry and the call of people in need in the world about him.
Early in his career, after attending the University of Maryland at College Park, Bill Franey discovered a talent for creating new opportunities. He formed the Franey Insurance Agency, Inc., created Colonial Benefit Administrators, and was a founding member and director of Jefferson Bank & Trust Company. He is currently on the Executive Committee of Alliant Insurance Services, Inc, and is president of the Franey Muha Commercial Group.
Bill Franey balances his career and family life with charitable and civic work. He has been president, chairman, or a board member of Christmas in April, the Food for All Seasons Foundation, YWCA of Greater Washington, and the Prince George's County chapters of the Chamber of Commerce, the Boy Scouts, and the American Cancer Society. He has provided great service to the Archdiocese of Baltimore as well, and singles out Catholic Charities as perhaps his favorite among the many worthy groups to which he is devoted.
Through the years, Bill Franey's efforts have kept those in need fed, sheltered, and cared for. My Brother's Keeper at The J.P. Blase Cooke Center is proud to salute the accomplishes of his lifetime and his continuing efforts on their behalf.
The partnership of Lou and Nancy Grasmick is one of public and private involvement, wide-ranging social interests, and service that has touched nearly every family in Maryland.
