Federal Government Cuts $3.8 Million in Aid That Will Impact Baltimore Homeless

Many people in the Baltimore homeless community will struggle to find an open shelter bed in the near future. 

On May 12th, the Baltimore Sun reported that the federal government cut $3.8 million in aid to an array of nonprofit and faith-based organizations. Federal officials say this decision was made in an effort redirect funds nationwide towards permanent housing for the homeless, as opposed to temporarily facilities.
